SmartCart is operated by Cetia Solutions in the United Kingdom. This policy covers the SmartCart website, browser app, Android app and iOS app. We collect only the information needed to provide SmartCart, secure accounts, support users and improve the service. We do not sell personal data.

Information we process

• Account and profile details, including email address, user ID, optional name and authentication provider.
• Shopping lists, list items, quantities, categories, preferences and timestamps.
• Product searches, catalogue matches, current price references and price-history views.
• Plan and subscription status. App-store payment providers process payment details; SmartCart does not receive your full card number.
• Support messages, feedback and technical information you choose to send.
• Local browser or app storage used for sessions, caching and pending offline changes.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, sync your lists, search the catalogue, show price comparison and history, apply plan limits, respond to support, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. SmartCart clients read price data from protected Supabase tables; the browser and mobile app do not scrape supermarket websites.

Who helps us provide SmartCart

We use trusted providers for authentication, database hosting, edge functions, app distribution, subscriptions, analytics and support. These include Supabase, Google and Apple. Providers process data under their own terms and our service arrangements.

Security and access

We use encrypted connections, Supabase authentication and row-level database controls. Public catalogue and price rows are read-only to app users. Account data such as lists, profiles, settings and subscriptions is restricted to the signed-in owner.

Retention and your rights

We keep account data while your account is active and as needed for the service, security, legal or accounting purposes. Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, export, restriction or deletion. See Delete my data or email smartcart@cetia-solutions.co.uk.
